Tampa Bay Buccaneers Color Codes Hex, RGB, and CMYK

This year’s edition is simple yet smartly designed without a lot of flaws. A happy medium between today’s gold and the brighter gold of yesteryear would be welcomed, though. No, this isn’t about bringing back Pat Patriot as the official logo or even changing back to those sexy red uniforms that did New England so proud in Super Bowl XX against the Bears. The greatest franchise of the 20th century is doing just fine with the navy blue home threads, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for change.

In contrast to other sports, the concept of away colours is not prominent, with clubs traditionally wearing their home guernseys week in week out, with the colour of a team's shorts distinguishing between home teams and away teams. The concept of home and away colours first became prominent during the late 1980s and the 1990s, when the newly admitted Brisbane Bears had colours and jumper designs clashing with that of Hawthorn, which necessitated the need for clubs to come up with away colours. All AFL teams now have designated clash guernseys, which are worn in matches when the home guernseys of the teams playing are deemed to be too similar to distinguish. Away colours (aka. Road colors) are a choice of coloured clothing used in team sports. They are required to be worn by one team during a game between teams that would otherwise wear the same colours as each other, or similar colours. This change prevents confusion for officials, players, and spectators.

In some cases, individual clubs may have informal agreements around what guernsey designs to wear in order to avoid clashes. The AFL's clash uniform policy has also been criticised as an example of Victorian Bias largely due to the fact that Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon adhere to the policy less and almost never wear clash jumpers against each other. The Australian Football League legislates that the home team has the right to choose what home colours they play in for home games during the home and away season. Traditionally in Australian rules football and first introduced into VFL in 1924 the home team wears dark shorts while the away team wears white shorts.

A gorgeous combination of teal and orange providing a tropical vibe. It still doesn’t excuse the fact the franchise swapped out a perfect dolphin logo for a sleek redesign, but dang these kits look good. The Eagles’ promise to bring back Kelly green alternate jerseys in 2023 serves as a reminder of how average their everyday kits are.

In turn, this means that each of these three sides will play one home game in its alternate jersey. These have traditionally been white, but in the 2015 Six Nations Scotland and France adopted red as their alternate colour. Dallas's only victory in a conference championship or Super Bowl wearing the blue jerseys was in the 1978 NFC Championship game at the Los Angeles Rams.

Since 2001, they have chosen to wear white jerseys and burgundy jerseys roughly equally in their home games, but they still wear white against the Cowboys. When Gibbs returned from 2004 to 2007, they wore white at home exclusively. The NFL's current rules require that a team's home uniforms must be "either white or official team colour" throughout the season, "and visiting clubs must wear the opposite". If a team insists on wearing its home uniforms on the road, the NFL Commissioner must judge on whether their uniforms are "of sufficient contrast" with those of their opponents.

I could be very wrong, but I always believed that the home team had the option to choose whether they wear the dark or light based colors. While most home teams choose the dark colors, the Dallas Cowboys always choose their white colors which is why most games the Cowboys are in their white uniforms. Again, I could be wrong but I thought the only reason that the Cowboys do wear their blue uniforms is when home teams have tried to mess with the Cowboys and have chosen their light uniforms forcing the Cowboys to wear blue for a slight home advantage. This is one of the best jerseys the Lions have put out in a long time.

But unlike the former’s collar alterations, the Vikes could go with just a solid white collar to give it a little more pop yet not take away from the overall simplicity of the design. The Vikings are exciting and flashy on both sides of the ball and are a serious threat to contend for this year’s Super Bowl. Much like the Raiders, this is just missing something. Again, simple is fine, but the lack of red is questionable. I won’t argue that it works well with the rest of the ensemble, but this is about the jersey and for me there needs to be an element of red in here somewhere. I could see a couple simple red stripes on the sleeve or maybe a very thin red line that runs a couple inches inside the numbers to make it pop a little more.

The stripes on the shoulders are a solid touch and a step in the right direction, but the “Dawg Pound” lettering on the inside of the back collar turns these otherwise simple jerseys into a travesty of justice. Look, the overall color scheme is fine; in fact, it’s arguably the most original in all of professional sports. But this year’s edition misses the mark more than DeShone Kizer. Originally, Major League Baseball teams were primarily distinguished by the colours of their stockings.

To me, that’s what makes the Philadelphia Eagles the Philadelphia Eagles. The design is solid, but like the Broncos, it’s becoming a little dated and drab. But look, these things aren’t far from being pretty dang cool. The Bengal stripes on the shoulders are great, but the white on the inside of the arms and down the sides is just too pronounced. Less is more in today’s NFL jersey and changing the white to black might be a simple enough change to rocket these shirts up the ranks. It’s no surprise the perennial bottom-dwellers of the NFL also sport the worst home jersey in the league.

By the end of the 19th century, it became common for teams to wear white uniforms at home, and grey in road games. Some teams used road uniforms of solid dark blue or black. An early example of this is the Brooklyn Superbas, who started to use a blue pattern for their road uniforms in 1907. Both the home and away teams' uniforms also contained trim in the team colours. Super Bowl rules later changed to allow the designated home team to pick their choice of jersey. White was chosen by the Cowboys , the Redskins , the Pittsburgh Steelers , the Denver Broncos , the New England Patriots , and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .

In American football, the home team has the choice to wear white or its official team colour and the visiting team must wear the opposite. The Seahawks ditched the ignominious history of their superior light blue/silver uniforms and have chased jersey trends in the two decades since with limited returns. While the Texans will never surpass the Cowboys in popularity in the Lone Star State, the Houston’s jerseys have always maintained a traditional look that falls in line with their intrastate rival. The Texans’ American red, white and blue color scheme allow it to play around a little more than their rivals about 3.5 hours to the north, but the Texans’ look hasn’t wavered much since entering the league in 2002. A thinner red collar might be the only change I’d like to see.

The shoulder stripes are perfect and the colors match the city flag. Pair it with a perfect, simple helmet design, and you’ve got a look to last a century. For a few years toward the end of the 2010s, these featured orange-on-brown numbers and lettering. In 2021, we got these nods to the perfect uniforms of the past. The Browns rarely get anything right, but throwing it back to the gorgeous unis of the 1980s was an easy call.
